We have an opportunity for a Transactional Senior Specialist to join our Payments Division within Banking Operations here in the Isle of Man on a 12 month contract.

Job Purpose

The role holder will provide support to Transaction Servicing with the successful delivery of our new re-platforming program. They will assist in ensuring to-be processes are understood, documented and agreed by Transaction Servicing Manager and Head of Banking Operations. They will take responsibility for delivering training, testing (specifically User Acceptance Training), and documenting procedures. They will act as a liaison between Transaction Servicing, Avaloq (Platform provider) & Project Teams, as well as support with project documentation and requirements (such as BDFO, CR, document sign-off).

Responsibilities & Duties

• Collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritise department requirements, ensuring they align with organisational goals.
• Analysing existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and proposing process improvements or reengineering initiatives.
• Identify changes and gaps brought about by the adoption of Avaloq to current processes. Ensure risks are clearly documented.
• Collecting and analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decisions and strategies in the design of post-Avaloq processes.
• Working with development teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and design solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, facilitating communication, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Creating clear and concise documentation to guide development, training, testing and end-user activities.
• Collaborating with BAU and testing teams to ensure that developed solutions meet the defined requirements and quality standards.
• Assisting in the implementation of new processes or systems, including training and support for end-users, and managing the transition to the new solution.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented solutions, identifying areas for further improvement, and recommending enhancements or modifications.
• Clearly identify and communicate Day 1, Day 2, Day3+ expectations, outcomes and milestones.

• A minimum of five years’ experience of working within a busy payment environment in a bank, preferably within private client wealth management/private banking organisation.
• A good working knowledge of domestic and non-domestic payments, Faster Payments, BACs, Direct Debits and SWIFT message formatting.
• Proven track record operating within a similar role.
• Involvement in new system/platform implementations.
• Skilled in using standard Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
